Correction Policy
Correction Policy
The Pioneer Research Journal of Computing Science is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of its published content. In the event that errors are identified in a published article, the journal follows a clear and transparent correction policy to ensure the correction or clarification is made promptly and appropriately.
1. Types of Corrections
Corrections may be made to articles under the following circumstances:
- Minor Errors: These include typographical errors, minor formatting issues, or small inaccuracies that do not affect the overall findings or conclusions of the paper.
- Major Errors: These include significant factual errors, miscalculations, or flaws in methodology that could impact the validity or interpretation of the research results.
- Retractions: In rare cases, when an article contains fundamental flaws, misconduct, or issues that cannot be resolved by corrections, the article may be retracted from the journal.
2. Process for Corrections
When errors are identified, either by the authors, reviewers, or editorial staff, the following steps will be taken:
- Minor Corrections: If the error is deemed minor, the corresponding author will be contacted for clarification or approval of the changes. A corrected version of the article will be published, and a note will be added to indicate the correction made.
- Major Corrections: If a more significant error is identified, the journal will issue a formal correction statement. This may involve re-analyses, data updates, or modifications to the article. The correction will be published as an addendum or in a revised version of the original paper, and a statement explaining the issue will be included.
- Retraction: If an article is found to have significant errors or ethical concerns that cannot be corrected, a retraction notice will be issued. The retraction notice will provide a detailed explanation of the reason for the retraction and will be prominently displayed alongside the original article.
3. Notification of Corrections
Once a correction, amendment, or retraction is made, the authors, reviewers, and relevant stakeholders will be notified. Additionally, the correction will be clearly indicated on the article page for transparency.
4. Public Notice
All corrections and retractions will be publicly disclosed in a manner consistent with the guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This ensures that readers are informed of any significant changes made to the original content.
5. Responsibility of Authors
It is the responsibility of the authors to notify the journal of any errors or inaccuracies in their published work. Authors should inform the editorial team of any issues promptly and cooperate fully in the correction process.
Through this correction policy, Pioneer Research Journal of Computing Science ensures the accuracy, transparency, and accountability of its published research, maintaining the high standards expected in academic publishing.
