Copyright Policy
The Pioneer Research Journal of Computing Science is committed to ensuring the protection of authors’ rights while promoting the wide dissemination of scientific knowledge. Our copyright policy is designed to maintain transparency, provide clear guidelines for authors, and ensure that all content published in the journal is managed ethically and legally.
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors retain full copyright of their work upon acceptance of publication in the Pioneer Research Journal of Computing Science. By submitting an article, authors grant the journal a license to publish and distribute the article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License.
- The CC BY License allows others to share, use, and build upon the work, even for commercial purposes, as long as they provide appropriate credit to the original author(s). This promotes wider access and reuse of the research.
2. Licensing Agreement
Upon acceptance, authors are required to sign a licensing agreement that grants the journal the right to:
- Publish the work in the journal.
- Distribute the work through various channels such as online repositories, databases, and indexing services.
- Allow the article to be freely available under the Creative Commons License.
The agreement ensures that the authors are aware of their rights and responsibilities regarding the publication of their work.
3. Author Rights
Authors retain the following rights over their work:
- The right to use the content for educational purposes, in presentations, and within other academic contexts.
- The right to share the published work on their personal or institutional websites, provided that proper attribution is given.
- The right to reuse, modify, and distribute the work in future research, provided the original publication is properly cited.
- The right to submit the article to other journals or publish in books, as long as it complies with the terms of the Creative Commons License.
4. Third-Party Material
If authors include third-party content (such as figures, images, tables, or data) in their submissions, it is the responsibility of the author to ensure proper permission is obtained and appropriate credit is given. Authors must provide documentation of permissions when submitting such content, and the inclusion of third-party material must not infringe upon copyright laws.
5. Withdrawal and Retraction of Articles
If an author wishes to withdraw their article from the journal after submission or publication, they must notify the editorial team. Withdrawal is subject to approval based on the stage of the publication process. In case of retraction, the article will remain available in the journal archives, but a formal retraction notice will be published.
6. Open Access and Distribution
As an open-access journal, Pioneer Research Journal of Computing Science ensures that all published content is freely accessible to researchers and the public worldwide. The journal encourages the redistribution of its published content in digital formats, under the conditions of the Creative Commons License.
- The journal does not impose any access fees or paywalls, ensuring that the articles are accessible to a wide audience.
- Authors can also share the article in institutional repositories, subject to proper attribution.
7. No Exclusive Copyright Transfer
The journal does not request the transfer of exclusive copyright from the authors. The goal is to ensure that authors can retain control over their work while benefiting from the exposure and wide dissemination that the journal provides. The journal, however, requires the right to publish, distribute, and promote the work as part of the editorial process.
8. Copyright Infringement
In case of copyright infringement or misuse of published content, the Pioneer Research Journal of Computing Science will take appropriate actions, including contacting the involved parties to resolve the matter. If necessary, legal measures will be implemented to protect the rights of authors and the journal.
Through this copyright policy, the Pioneer Research Journal of Computing Science ensures the protection of the authors' intellectual property while fostering a responsible, transparent, and open-access approach to publishing that maximizes the reach and impact of scholarly research in the field of computing science.
